Giving Back

Our club is passionate about supporting our local community and we give back in so many ways.

Animal Welfare League NSW (AWL NSW) is a registered charity that has been operating for 60 years. We provide expert care to surrendered, neglected and abandoned companion animals across NSW.

We believe that all companion animals in NSW deserve a safe and loving home. We strive to accomplish this through our work in re-homing, education and discount desexing programs.

Our inspectors are authorized to investigate allegations of animal cruelty and we make it easy for anyone to report animal cruelty. As part of our ‘Getting to Zero’ philosophy we are committed to achieving zero euthanasia of healthy and treatable cats and dogs.

Drought Angels provides a unique service for which it is has become well known for within the rural sector.  Drought Angels is a small charity run by big hearts, who offer a listening ear, a warm hug and personalised support given to each family.

We like to tell our farmers that this is not a handout but a Thank You. “Thank you for all you do to put the food on our tables because without you we would all go hungry”.

Through direct personal contact with the farmers, Drought Angels has earnt a reputation for providing personalised, heartfelt and discreet assistance. We help those who would not normally reach out but prefer to battle it alone, which can lead to severe depression and in some cases suicide.

One-on-one support aides in ‘breaking down the barriers’ of a proud demographic who quite often have never received a hand up. They can be the first generation of many who have to contemplate walking off the land and selling blood lines which have taken years to build up. These are the people of most concern and often forgotten.

The Greens on William has become the Central West distribution hub for drought relief on behalf of Drought Angels where we gather wonderful volunteers to help distribute food relief hampers across Rural NSW.

If you would like to give back to the men and women that put food on our tables and clothes on our backs than contact us below to receive our volunteer information pack. If you are unable to donate your time, you may like to donate non-perishable pantry items to go in the hampers.

All donations can be dropped off at the club - 29 William Street, Bathurst
